I am pleased to showcase Trent Skeen’s Expert road racing year for your review, and present you and your company with a sponsorship opportunity for the 2009 motorcycle road racing season. In March 2006, a trip to Hallett Motor Raceway near Stillwater, O for a street bike skill improvement weekend, turned into a road racing passion for me. After a few more practice weekends I fell in love with the sport and was ready to race. My first organized race was with the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association(CMRA) at Texas Motor Speedway, College Station, TX in March 2007. I entered the Super Stock C and the Super Bike C 600cc classes throughout the season. My first race was as expected as a new racer with a 27th finish in Super Stock C and a 12th in Super Bike C. From my inaugural race to most recent race of the 2009 season, my skills improved at an unbelievable pace. I stunned many with my quick improvement in the sport. I received a 9th place overall finish in Super Stock C and 7th overall finish in Super Bike C my novice year. My Rookie-Expert year I received a 9th overall finish in Super Stock B and Super Stock C, 8th overall in Super Bike B, and a 7th overall in Super Bike C.
My 2008 Rookie Expert year went exactly as I planned it. My lap times improved and I was ranked 2nd rookie expert for the big bike plans. I have been pushing myself at each race during the 2008 season in a controlled method. My training is under the watchful eyes of my dad, Roger Skeen, Danny Dominquez(20yrs Veteran racer)-trainer, and Jim Cambora-Technician and suspension. With the help of these friends and family I have consistently dropped one or two seconds from race to race. The 2009 season has already proven to be very successful. The start of the season at Oak Hill Raceway, Henderson TX, resulted in a 5th, 6th, and 8th place. However, what is most important are my lap times from the 2007, 2008, to 2009 season.
2007 1:34 Oak Hill
2008 1:28 Oak Hill
2009 1:24 Oak Hill
Race #2- Eagles Canyon Raceway- placed 2nd, 4th, and 6th.
The 2009 season offers many options and adventures. I will be attending every Motorcycle lapping day held at Hallett. My plans are to race all of the CMRA races and two of the AMA Pro races. With the races available this year, we will be able to tailor our/your sponsorship exposure. I was promoted so quickly to the expert division that I missed my novice season to really shine. Although I was honored and suprised by CMRA’s board of directors confidence in me promoting me so quickly, it threw me into a class with mostly pro riders which forced my learning curve to be fast and furious. I am quickly making my name known in the expert division. Already in the 2009 season I have podiumed and I am foreseeing more to come!
